$999.00 You are bidding on a 17″ Apple Macbook Pro. This laptop was bought brand new in the winter of 2008. At the time it was the top of the line Macbook Pro you could buy, costing me over $3,000. I’ve used this primarily as a desktop computer connected to an external LCD monitor so it has not traveled much. I have probably taken traveled with it maybe 5 times, which is the main reason I am selling it. I want to get a desktop instead. This is NOT the unibody version that you see in stores today. The same unibody laptop with the same specs as this one (except the video card) sells for over $2,300 new from Apple today. This Macbook Pro has the hi resolution display of 1920×1200 with the matte (not glossy) finish. At the time, this feature did not come standard with the 17″ Macbook Pros. You had to pay extra for it. It originally came with a 200GB 7200 RPM hard drive (another paid for upgrade at the time) but I have since upgraded it to a Western Digital 500GB 7200 RPM hard drive. This is currently the highest capacity and fastest laptop hard drive you can buy. There are 1TB laptop hard drives but those are 5400 RPM, not 7200 RPM.
